applesauce pork chops

really tasty fall or winter meal, i usually serve these chops with green beans and/or egg noodles

1. preheat your oven to 375 degrees and gather the following:
- two nice thick pork chops
- unsweetened or no sugar added applesauce
- red or white vinegar (whatever you have handy)
- salt & pepper
- garlic powder
- paprika
- cinnamon sugar (or cinnamon and sugar)
- parsley flakes
- 8 inch square glass baking dish

2. take out your pork chops and sprinkle both sides of both chops with salt, pepper, parsley flakes, paprika and garlic powder on a plate or cutting board.

meanwhile...

3. pour some of your applesauce into the glass baking dish, the applesauce should be about half an inch deep.

4. shake a little paprika, garlic powder, and cinnamon sugar into your applesauce. add a splash of vinegar and stir it all up.

5. lay the pork chops in the seasoned applesauce. cover your dish with foil and stick it in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

6. after 30 minutes take the foil off the dish and stick it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

7. after those last 10 minutes take your pork chops out of the oven, they will smell delicious and look like this! they are ready to eat.

serve up your tasty chops, i usually mix up the applesauce at the bottom of the dish after i have put the chops on plates and spoon it over the meat. enjoy!
